How can large construction projects be made tangible and comprehensible for a broad public? Since, for safety and capacity reasons, tours of the construction site are only possible for construction experts, it was necessary to provide a realistic depiction of the major construction site near Zurich North (ANU) in an information pavilion for all those interested in the project. The starting point for the project of the overall bypass system in Lucerne is similar. The topic was communicating the resolution of congestion by overlaying the traffic flows on the north and south axes and the parallel regional and local source traffic.

For ANU, the construction project was made accessible by means of an information pavilion in which visitors can already immerse themselves in the new third tube of the Gubrist tunnel. 
Panels bent into semicircles and staggered opposite each other invite visitors to discover. The constructed letter forms of the writing reflect the dynamic forms of the construction site and are used as design elements in graphics and pictures. 
For the day of the open construction site on a section of the new highway, we designed information boards, posters, flyers etc. The Bypass Lucerne has been transported to the general public via a trade fair stand at the LUGA, graphics for the website, information boards and resident letters/leaflets.


The challenge of preparing technically demanding projects in a way that is understandable for laypersons and obtaining their positive approval was successfully met.
